Eleanor Brewer is a retired
health care executive. The last 18 years of her
career were with the St. Joseph Health Care System,
a corporation that owns hospitals in California,
Texas, and New Mexico. As Secretary of the Alumni
Associations of the University of California,
Ms. Brewer serves as a Regent-designate beginning
July 1, 2006 for one year. She will serve as an
ex-officio Regent for a one-year term beginning
July 1, 2007 when she becomes President of the
Alumni Associations. Ms. Brewer received her B.A.
degree from Viterbo University, her M.Ed degree
in Education at Loyola University in Chicago,
and her MBA degree from the University of California,
Los Angeles.
