Michael
T. Brown is a Professor of Counseling/Clinical/School
Psychology in the Graduate School of Education at
the University of California - Santa Barbara, where
he has been on the faculty since 1993. Professor
Brown received his B.A. degree in Psychology from
the University of California at Irvine and his M.A.
and Ph.D. degrees in Counseling Psychology from
Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has
served on numerous Academic Senate committees at
the systemwide and campus levels, most recently
chairing the systemwide Board of Admissions and
Relations with Schools (BOARS). Dr. Brown has numerous
publications that contribute to understanding the
cultural variables underlying the career and educational
choice behavior of racial/ethnic minorities and
women. He has made international, national, regional,
and local presentations relevant to advancing personal
and career developments and serves on a number of
editorial boards. He was elected fellow of the American
Psychological Association in 2001. |
