Biography
David Bell is currently a work~life professional in the Work~Life Resource Center at UC San Francisco. He is a 28-year veteran of UC, and joined the Work~Life Resource Center in 2001. He previously served as facilities manager for the Campus Library and as a program administrator in the Department of Psychiatry. David became involved with staff issues and the UCSF Staff Council in the early 1990s during the initial discussions on catastrophic leave programs and domestic partner benefits for UC employees. David is active on a number of Chancellorial committees at UCSF, including the Chancellor's Committee on GLBT Issues. He has served as Chair of the UCSF Staff Council, and in June 2002 he was elected Chair of the Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) for 2003-2004. David was selected for the UCSF Chancellor's Award for GLBT Leadership in May, 2004.
