Biodiesel Resources
- On June 25, 2008, the ASTM International D02 Main Committee approved a trio of long-awaited ASTM specifications for biodiesel blends. For additional information, contact the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuel Transportation Program at regulatory_info@afdc.nrel.gov. The three new specifications include:
- Changes to the existing B100 biodiesel blend stock specification (ASTM D6751)
- Finished specifications to include up to 5% biodiesel (B5) in the conventional petrodiesel specifications (ASTM D975)
- Approved a new specification for blends of between 6% (B6) and 20% (B20) biodiesel for on- and off-road diesel

Carsharing
Carsharing is a short term car rental system that is effective for a number of campus applications:
- Students who live on campus can use carshare vehicles for trips, rather than bring a car to campus
- Faculty and staff can use carshare vehicles for business trips during the day if they have commuted via alternative transportation
- Campus fleets can use carshare vehicles to reduce the number of cars they need to purchase
For more information about car sharing, including a systemwide opt-in carsharing agreement for UC and CSU campuses, please .
