UC President James B. Milliken statement on UC Berkeley professor Omar M. Yaghi’s Nobel Prize in chemistry win

University of California President James B. Milliken released today (Oct. 8) the statement below following the announcement of the Nobel Prize in chemistry, which was awarded to Omar Yaghi, The James and Neeltje Tretter Professor of Chemistry at UC Berkeley. He shares the prize with Richard Robson of the University of Melbourne, Australia, and Susumu Kitagawa of Kyoto University, Japan “for the development of metal–organic frameworks.”
