University of California application totals for fall 2024 admission on the rise/Aumentan el total de solicitudes de admisión de la Universidad de California para el otoño de 2024

The University of California today (March 6) announced that it received a total of 250,436 applications (206,893 for first-year admission and 43,543 applications for transfer admission) for fall 2024 admission. Overall, application numbers increased 1.5 percent compared to the previous year. The uptick was driven by a rise in applications from transfer students, California residents, and students from historically underrepresented groups in higher education.
