The University of California today (Sept. 12) issued the following statement:
The University of California is grateful that the Governor and the Legislature have agreed on a plan to provide an additional $1 million in funding for UC’s Dream Loan Program, which helps many of our DACA recipients finance their college education. Dreamers make exceptional contributions to UC and to the nation. They embody the American Dream and represent the best of our country. The University is thankful and confident that this additional state funding will help our Dreamers achieve their ambitious educational goals.
