University of California President Janet Napolitano issued the following statement today (Aug. 9) on the newly formed Governor’s Council for Post-Secondary Education.                 

The University of California today (July 30) announced tentative five-year agreements with the University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE) union for UC’s approximately 13,000 health care, research and technical professionals.

University of California President Janet Napolitano today (July 29) announced the formation of an advisory committee of university faculty, staff, students, alumni and foundation representatives to help in the international search for a new chancellor to lead the Merced campus. Regent George Kieffer, the Board of Regents Chair for 2017-2019, appointed five regents to serve on the committee.

The University of California Board of Regents approved today (July 18) Dr. Carrie L. Byington as the next executive vice president of UC Health, comprised of UC’s five academic medical centers, a community-based health system and 18 health professional schools.
