“The University of California community is mourning the passing of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, a historic figure who blazed a path for countless women in politics and fought for decades on behalf of underserved communities in California.

Advisory committee named for UC Berkeley chancellor search

University of California President Michael V. Drake, M.D., has announced the formation of a search advisory committee of university faculty, staff, students, alumni and foundation representatives to help in the international search for a new chancellor to lead the Berkeley campus. Regent Richard Leib, the Board of Regents Chair for 2022-2024, appointed five Regents to serve on the committee.

UC announces Board of Regents chair and vice chair, committee leadership appointments for 2023-24

The University of California announced today (July 7) the reappointment of Regent Richard Leib as chair of the UC Board of Regents and Regent Gareth Elliott as the Board’s vice chair. Chair Leib and Vice Chair Elliott were selected for their leadership roles by their fellow Regents and will serve one-year terms starting on July 1, 2023.
